Song of Trusting the Heart: A Classic Zen Poem for Daily Meditation, by Tamarack Song, has won the Gold Award in Nautilus Book Awards’ Gift/Specialty category and the Silver Award in the Religion/Spirituality (Eastern) category. Nautilus Book Awards winners are carefully selected in a unique three-tier judging process by experienced teams of book reviewers, librarians, authors, editors, book store owners, and leaders in the publishing industry.

Me, My Cells, and I: A Survivor’s Seriously Funny Guide to the Science of Cancer, by Dave Ames, received 2nd runner up in the Alternative Health category of the Coalition of Visionary Resources competition. COVR is a not-for-profit trade organization dedicated to supporting independent retailers, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers & publishers of visionary books, music, and merchandise. The Visionary Awards are judged by retailers and seasoned professionals who evaluate each title based upon content, presentation, and their own knowledge of the industry.

The Tao of Walt Whitman: Daily Insights and Actions to Achieve a Balanced Life, by Connie Shaw and Ike Allen, received the Gold Award in the Body, Mind & Spirit category of ForeWord Reviews’ Book of the Year competition. Winners are selected by dozens of librarians and booksellers who are experts in the subject matter of the books they judge, and who make purchasing decisions daily for their collections or bookstores. These fiercely contested awards are viewed by librarians and booksellers as an important statement about a title they might have overlooked.
