2015 PubWest Conference
February 5-7, 2015
PubWest is looking for two volunteers to help with the PubWest 2015 conference in Pasadena, California.
Two volunteers are needed to help with planning, set up, and implementation of the conference. The volunteers will help from November 3, 2014 through February 8, 2015. Each volunteer will average about 20 hours per month (November, December, and January) and will need to help at least 8 hours a day during the conference week. These volunteers will be provided with transportation, meals, and hotel at PubWest 2015. The volunteers will need to be available to travel to Pasadena, California from Monday February 2 and return home on Sunday February 8.
These volunteer positions require strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Social Media experience (Constant Contact, Facebook and Twitter), and customer service skills. There is significant contact with PubWest members, the Board of Directors and its committees, and the general public by telephone, and email. A balanced combination of people, organizational, and technical skills will mark the ideal volunteers. The candidates need to be professional, flexible, and a self-starters energized by challenges. Experience in either the book publishing industry or non-profits is desirable. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
